Road Safety Awareness Week
During Road Safety Week, the children learnt about the Green Cross Code. They learnt not to step into the road until they are sure that the road is clear of cars and safe to cross. All the children also practised crossing Daws Lane with their teachers. They now know that it is really important never to cross the road behind a parked car and to always make sure that they can be seen. The children in the Foundation Stage also made traffic light biscuits for Road Safety Week and they were delicious! The children in Year 1 made special posters to inform others about how to cross the road safely.
Please take every opportunity to reinforce road safety rules when out and about with your children.
