Shavuot
We really enjoyed all our Shavuot preparations this year at Etz Chaim!
Nursery sampled and made delicious cheesecakes and also made recyclable plant pots. Reception made bouquets out of paper and enjoyed a delicious ice cream party.
Year 1 made their own vases and Year 2 made flower baskets. Year 3 enjoyed making (and tasting) their own ice cream and Year 4 made cheesecake with a special visitor from Clore Manor Care Home. Year 5 loved creating their very own Megillot telling the story of Ruth.
The children in Nursery to Year 3 loved their Shavuot arts and crafts SEED sessions with their parents and children and parents from Year 4 and 5 had a great time learning all about the mezuzah as part of the Generation Sinai worldwide learning project.
We are now looking forward to Rosh Hashanah!
