Purim

Purim at Etz Chaim is the most fun filled day of the year! The whole school performed the 4 mitzvot of Purim: listening to the megilla’ collecting tzedakah for ‘Evie’s Night Owls’; dressing up and enjoying our scrumptious seuda.  

All the children drew lots to choose who they would give their mishloach manot to.

We were so lucky that Rabbi Bazak from SEED read the Megillah in a child friendly way explaining the meaning of the story as he read it. 

This year, in keeping with a tradition of ‘spieling’ or entertaining at Purim, our Circle Groups created a poem, rhyme or rap. We were also entertained to some excellent Purim videos made by our wonderful families.

It was truly a perfect Purim day!
