Book Week 2014

During Book Week 2014, the children were thoroughly immersed in book related activities. Chris Wormell, a popular author and illustrator of children’s books such as Scruffy Bear and George and the Dragon, visited Etz Chaim and inspired both children and staff with his illustrated animal creations.  Dan Freedman, who wrote the Jamie Johnson books, spoke to the children in KS1 about being an author and motivated the children to write with enthusiasm. All our classes visited the Mill Hill Library and enjoyed listening to the librarian reading their favourite stories.  We also ran the school’s first ever Book Swap where the children had the opportunity to read discover new books and authors.
