Science Week 2015

Science week started with our fabulous launch assembly.  Zog needed each year group to complete a mission to help him get back to planet Mars.  Nursery and Reception made slime, Year 1 had to think of the best way to release his keys from frozen ice, Year 2 had to think of the best place to keep his hand frozen and Year 3 had to made crystals.  Later on in the week, the Foundation Stage experienced a sensory workshop and Key Stage 1 and 2 experienced a chemical change workshop, both were thoroughly enjoyed by all the children.  Thank you to the PSA for funding the workshop.  Throughout the week each class carried out a number of different science investigations linked to their IPC units.  On Friday the children all experienced the solar eclipse where they all went outside and wore special glasses. Unfortunately, it was too cloudy for the children to see anything but they all experienced the temperature drop.
