Parent Comments

Working in partnership with parents is extremely important to us at Etz Chaim.  We believe that working closely with parents, helps us deliver the best possible outcomes for all our children as we aim to ensure that all our children become successful learners, confident individuals and responsible citizens.

The feedback and comments from our annual parents survey are very positive about many different aspects of our school from the school ethos to the teaching and learning to the staff.  It is always lovely to hear about what you feel we are doing well and what you feel the strengths of the school are.  Here are some examples of comments made by parents about our school:

• The teachers are very accessible and care about the children
• The school is good at keeping up with new and exciting ways to teach
• It's a very close knit family orientated school and parents feel very involved
• Provides a happy and safe environment which maximises learning
• Nurturing, instilling good values, reading, instilling a love od Judaism and pride in their faith
• Great leadership, very warm feel, well thought out teaching and a caring school

We listen to your feedback and following your suggestions in our Parent Questionnaire in December 2018 we now:

• Great to see progress, very encouraging, lovely results for phonics
• Provides a happy environment

• A broad curriculum and a great range of experiences

• Solid leadership
• Experimental learning based on individual interests
• Very nurturing

We listen to your feedback and following your suggestions in our Parent Questionnaire in December 2016 we now:

• My children are so unbelievably happy every day at school
• The school is very caring and there is a warm environment
• The school looks after each child and their needs
• The school Focuses on children’s wellbeing
• My children enjoy their learning and are keen to come to school
• The school encourages my children to reach their full potential
• The school celebrates Jewish festivals
• The school looks after the children in a safe environment
• The school caters to each individual considering all abilities, pushing them to an appropriate level
• The school offers a well rounded curriculum
• The school cares about the children, who they are and who they could become
• The children are confident and have a broad understanding of the topics they study
• The standard of teaching is excellent
• The teachers really care, work hard and motivate the children
• The school communicates with parents regarding children's learning

We listen to your feedback and following your suggestions in our Parent Questionnaire in December 2015 we now:

• Inform parents in advance which day bookings for the Parent Teacher Consultations are released
• Introduced more team sport e.g. tag rugby and football
• Introduce more opportunities for inter school events
• Reduced the number of SEED parent events
• More photographs and information about school events on the website
