We also enjoyed learning about road safety and scooter and bike safety and we had the opportunities to bring our bikes and scooters into school for various activities in the playground.

We had a visit from an author, Andrew Weale who read us one of his books and talked to the children about being an author.

We improved our core strength through games in the playground, including tyre activities involving rolling and balancing.

We celebrated Lag Ba’Omer with a brilliant circus skills workshop and had a barbeque where we made wholemeal rolls and vegetarian burgers to cook on the barbeque.

We have also been to visit Mill Hill Fire Station and had a fabulous experience climbing into a fire engine, hearing the siren and learning about breathing apparatus, as well as learning about the outfits a fireman has to wear and all about fire safety.

We have enjoyed reading stories in the library and making up our own stories in groups before acting them out for our friends with props and dressing up as various characters.

Mrs Talisman brought in her chicken from home and the children learnt about how to look after a chicken and they enjoyed feeding it.  They looked at the different types of foods that chickens and other animals eat.

We have had visits from Eyal the Vet, our very own Doctor Minkoff, and Jonathan the Paramedic.

We learnt how to skip both individually and in groups, and have fun with a skipping rope. We made ball games and hopscotch using our skipping ropes.

We enjoyed exploring books from around the world and reading new books. We particularly enjoyed the books Anna Hibiscus, Tin and Bubble Trouble.

We enjoyed dressing up as our favourite story characters as Purim coincided with World Book Day. We made many crafts for Purim including rashanim (greggors), masks and exchanged mishloach manot. We also baked Humantaschen in the shape of Haman’s ears.

We focussed on shapes and counting in our exciting workshop with our clown Mr Bumble. He also made a giant bubble and a space ship out of balloons with 3D shapes.

We enjoyed designing our new playground, using paper art, junk modelling and playdough. We visited the park and build our core strength by climbing on the equipment and drew pictures of our favourite equipment on IPads.

We have also celebrated Tu BiShvat with a party with Reception. We brought fruit from home and learnt how to cut and prepare it for our party. We explored the texture and taste. Our favourite moment was when our Site Manager Lousch came in to cut open a coconut with us, and we enjoyed shaking, cutting and tasting it.

We have had a wonderful time learning about our IPC topic 'Traditional Tales'. We have been exploring our favourite stories and making them come alive. We have been building houses using real building materials, experimenting with cement and trying to build a house with sticks for the Three Little Pigs. We have made a giant map for Little Red Riding Hood to help her find the route to Grandma’s house. We have decorated leaves for Jack and the Beanstalk and built a giant out of junk modelling.

We have also enjoyed playing with oats, both dry and wet, for Goldilocks and the Three Bears, learning about size with three bears, bowls, chairs and beds.

The children have also been exploring shapes in our school environment, finding them in the most unusual places! We took an iPad with us to take photos of the shapes we could see.

The children were very excited to perform their Three Little Pigs poem and song at our the library launch.  They also enjoyed their first ever visit to the school library and taking out a book.

We explored textures in our outdoor area, planting our winter garden and exploring mud and sand.

We went also been to the shops to purchase ingredients to make vegetable soup to eat in our Succah.  We learnt how to cut safely using a knife.
