Come and see Year 3's highlights from 2014-2015!

They were really excited to perform with our recorders to the rest of the school. They have loved learning to play this year and they are very proud of our achievements.

Our local Mill Hill library welcomed us all during Book Week too. They were excited to carry out a treasure hunt to find lots of different books.

The children enjoyed participating in the circus skills workshop where they learnt how to juggle with scarves as well as balance spinning plates and walk on stilts!

The children went to the playground in Mill Hill Park where they looked at all the different types of equipment. They compared each of them and thought about what they would like for our school playground. The children then participated in a D&T workshop where they learnt the skills of building and joining suitable materials to be able to build a model playground.

In Music, they worked in groups to create a composition of different musical elements. The children especially loved filming ourselves and listening back, working out what they had done well as a team.

The day of the launch was fantastic, but the part they enjoyed the most was using the library to choose our own book!

The children enjoyed measuring different amounts using a range of containers of all shapes and sizes.

During Book Week, Year 3 enjoyed lots of exciting activities. The author, Andrew Weale, was hilarious when he visited us in class! They loved hearing how he wrote his book Nora and he read to us his original ending! Some of us were privileged to enjoy an informal Q&A in our Library Club time.

Travelling by train to the Tate Modern Art Gallery was a great experience! Year 3 enjoyed seeing the view of the River Thames as well as carrying out different art activities in the gallery.

They have loved painting pictures of Spring in the Galil and explored a range of blues and yellows to make all different shade of green.

Science Week has been a highlight of this term. The children also made compasses in the classroom and investigated 'treasure' in the classroom using magnets. They thought carefully about what materials are magnetic!

The Skipathon was fantastic fun! They raised money for Bluish/Jewish Day and got ourselves healthy at the same time!

The children love the new stools in our classroom they can often be found there catching up on a good book or reading the newspapers!

They also enjoyed the family reading time on the Wednesday morning of Book Week. The children especially loved our parents reading to us and our siblings.

Sports Day was the highlight of our summer term! Year 3 loved competing in all the races and cheering our team mates on.

The children enjoyed celebrating Yom Ha'atzmaut with Israeli dancing, team games run by the JNF and of course, a delicious birthday cake!

The children were fascinated by the special workshop where they saw the reactions of chemicals being burnt.

In Science they carried out investigations to find out what were the best conditions for growing plants.

The children also walked to Mill Hill library to learn about the Dewey Decimal System in preparation for our own school library launch.

The children were extremely lucky to have had such a beautiful clear day where they could see the sun spots so visibly and enjoyed looking through a telescope which was over 150 years old!
