Walk to School Week

May is National Walking Month and from Monday 16th- Friday 20th May was National Walk to School Week. This year was all about the health benefits of walking during the week.  This year children were encouraged to take part in Strider’s Walk in the Wild - a five-day challenge that gets pupils enjoying the benefits of regular walking. Each day they focused on a different animal from around the world. They explored the animals’ walking habits and natural environments.

The focus on Monday was on Cheetahs and animals that run fast.

On Tuesday 17th May it is 'Happy Shoesday' where the children came to school wearing any closed pair of shoes that make them the happiest.

The focus animal on Wednesday was Hedgehogs.

The focus animal on Thursday was Penguins.

On Friday 20th May the tzedakah money went towards supporting the Living Streets Walk to School campaign. The focus on this day was Camels.

Many children enjoyed completing their Walk to School booklet which they completed during/after their daily walk to school.
