Shabbaton

Year 5 spent a wonderful time together at their Shabbaton at Lincolnsfield. Tribe madrichim helped to create a special atmosphere and singing and playing games together made it a time to treasure for everyone. Children lit candles using the candlesticks they had made themselves and we had a delicious Friday night meal with plenty of singing. On Shabbat the children created amazing parasha plays and went on a very memorable walk. Everyone really enjoyed spending time with their friends without the distraction of electronics. Saturday night, after an atmospheric Havdalah service, children ‘split’ the ‘Red Sea’ with Rav E and then competed in groups building shelters and playing human hungry hippos amongst others. The food was delicious and plentiful throughout and everyone had an amazing time.
