Welcome Back Assembly
Mrs Baron, our Headteacher, welcomed the children back in her assembly and spoke to the children about acts of kindness towards each other. She asked the children to think if they had been kind to anyone or if anyone had been kind to them. They read the story Ordinary Mary’s Extraordinary Deed by Emily Pearson and thought how they could be kind towards other people. Then Rabbi Schochet came in to blow the shofar in preparation for Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year). All the children from Reception to Year 6 listened as he blew the shofar. Some children had the opportunity to blow the shofar.
