Succot
On Sukkot all our usual learning was integrated with Sukkot themes and we did a lot of making and baking.
As Sukkot coincides with Bike to School month, children were also able to bring in bikes and scooters on some of the days. Every child visited the school sukkah, shook lulav and etrog and made a bracha eating something in the sukkah. We had visits and activities from SEED (with parents) and Tribe and our shinshinit ran some fun Ivrit activities for everyone. Year 1 and 5 visited Mill Hill shul and sukkah together and the highlight for Year 6 was to be guides to children from Courtland and Fairway schools, explaining all our Tishrei chagim to the children from these schools.
On Friday we had a Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah assembly, where we paraded our three sifrei Torah through the whole school.
