Mental Health Awareness Week
Year 3 and 4 children were lucky to have a talk from Dr Groszmann about the importance of looking after our minds as well as our bodies. He explained to the children too much of any one emotion can be unhealthy. He also discussed it is important to know who to speak to and who can help you manage your mind and feelings. The message from his talk was it is about having a healthy balance!
Year 2 have taken part in yoga as part of their physical sessions, focusing on a happy mind to start the day. Mrs Lewis, "breathe out your worries and get ready to learn!"
Year 1 have carried out circle time as well as acting out different emotions and what they would do to help someone when they are sad. They also watched a short video about helping others.
