Chanukah 2014

We had an action packed Chanukah at Etz Chaim Jewish Primary School!
 
Prior to Chanukah Mrs Novick ran clay workshops for all classes and then each child made their own chanukiah with a parent  and had the chance to use the skills they had learnt.

The Reception class from Mathilda Marks Kennedy School came to our school for a Chanukah party. Later in the week the Mathilda Marks Kennedy School Choir performed a selection of Chanukah songs for our children. 

We were very proud that our Year 3 led candle lighting at the Clore Manor Care Home and performed some songs from their recent Chagigah. 

Year 2 and 3 visited the Art of the Brick Exhibition and Nursery, Reception and Year 1 learnt how to make olive oil as part of the Tzivos Hashem Oil Workshop.

The children really enjoyed hosting their grandparents for our annual Candle lighting for grandparents. It was very special to see grandparents and grandchildren enjoying the chag together.
