Etz Chaim Jewish Primary School

Welcome from the Headteacher

Welcome to Etz Chaim Jewish Primary School.

I would like to extend a warm welcome to all visitors to our school website. I hope that this gives you a flavour of our ethos, values, curriculum and provision at Etz Chaim Jewish Primary School.

Etz Chaim is a forward thinking, nurturing, community focused primary school that sets out to develop children who strive to reach their full potential, both educationally and socially. We encourage our pupils to enjoy the challenge of learning, through a broad, balanced and varied curriculum, enabling them to develop their individual potential in a secure, caring environment. We have the highest expectations of all pupils in every area of school life and have clear behaviour expectations to enable them to make the right behaviour choices. We have a strong ethos of equality of opportunities for everyone, to underpin all our policies and practices.

As a Modern Orthodox school we are committed to the practices of Modern Orthodox Judaism. At the heart of our vision and ethos lies the core Jewish values that teach us to act with integrity and be respectful, kind and compassionate, inside school and throughout our daily lives.

Our approach to learning is driven by our passionate and dedicated staff team who place great emphasis on ensuring the needs of every child are met, their abilities understood and their aspirations encouraged. Our modern, purpose built school features a wide range of well-resourced learning spaces, including high-tech classrooms, dedicated library, music and technology rooms, an outdoor garden 'classroom' and an artificial sports area.

We aim to build a strong relationship between home and school, where trust, understanding and support form the basis of a shared responsibility to prepare pupils to be successful citizens in an ever-changing society.

I hope you enjoy looking at our school website, please contact the School Office directly if there is anything else you would like to find out.
