The children have been so excited this week as they have started learning joined up handwriting! They started on whiteboards as the pens flow nicely and then they will move onto writing in their handwriting books.

In Science we have been looking at the life cycles of different animals. The children are looking at the model life cycles and discussing them.

The children had the best drama session with Perform. They had to pretend to be wizards, witches and dragons.

The children have been learning how to compare numbers. They answered questions on their whiteboards, in full sentences and using symbols.

The children have been busy celebrating Sukkot in school and made some delicious fruit kebabs.

In Maths, the children love to answer questions on their whiteboards whilst learning something new.

The children have been drawing their families in a Sukkah and have been writing about the mitzvot we do in the Sukkah.

The children have been practising their block writing in Jewish Studies. They got to use Ms Rose’s cool writing pads and made sure they included the vowels.

The children are working together to make numbers with dienes and place value charts.

In Ivrit, the children have been learning their colours. They have loved colouring in these colour by number pictures.

In Maths, the children have been looking at related facts, for example if they know 2+3=5 then 20+30=50. They showed different related facts with dienes and whiteboards.

In English, we have started our new book ‘Bog Baby’. The children wrote predictions of what they thought the story was about. Then they wrote adjectives and expanded noun phrases to describe the bog baby.

The children have been finishing off their diary entries, by looking at their plan, writing a first draft, editing their draft and writing their final version.

The children have made their own Torah scrolls, with pictures of things that Hashem created and their Aleph Bet.

The children have been using their art skills to paint Sukkahs in space.

In English, the children are highlighting the key features of a diary entry.

In Computing this week, the children have been searching on google and clicking on child friendly links to find out information about Kenya.

Our Science lesson this week was all about minibeasts and microhabitats. The children searched the garden area to see which minibeasts they could find.
