In English, the children have been learning about how to write an exciting setting description. Miss Genn wrote a setting description and the children had to use their imagination to draw the setting she had described.

In Maths, the children have been subtracting two 2-digit numbers. They found different resources to help them answer the questions independently.

The children have been creating posters and acrostic poems to remember the soldiers of World War 1, which is what they have been learning about in Humanities this half term.

In JS, the children have been working together to write ways of caring for different people.

In Maths, the children have been looking at adding by making 10. They used their knowledge of number bonds to 10 and number lines to help solve their additions.

The children have been so excited this week as they have started learning joined up handwriting! They started on whiteboards as the pens flow nicely and then they will move onto writing in their handwriting books.

In Science we have been looking at the life cycles of different animals. The children are looking at the model life cycles and discussing them.

The children had the best drama session with Perform. They had to pretend to be wizards, witches and dragons.

In English, we have started our new book ‘Bog Baby’. The children wrote predictions of what they thought the story was about. Then they wrote adjectives and expanded noun phrases to describe the bog baby.

The children have been finishing off their diary entries, by looking at their plan, writing a first draft, editing their draft and writing their final version.
