Etz Chaim Jewish Primary School

Year 5

The children really enjoyed the Joshua Siegal workshop. They had the opportunity to create their own poems guided by Joshua. They managed to write beautiful poems about themselves

The children enjoyed some role play from the story they have been reading in English "Good Night Mr Tom" by Michelle Magorian

The children were very lucky to have the opportunity to meet the Israeli Ambassador at the festival of spoken Ivrit. They thoroughly enjoyed the play and were able to understand it using their Ivrit knowledge.

In Art, the children worked on a culture collage using the IT equipment. They were inspired by ‘Jemmy Button’, a book written by Jenifer Uman and Valerio Vidali.

The children were so excited to participate in the ETGAR competition. They studied so hard for it and really enjoyed it! It was so lovely to see so many Jewish schools come together for the fun filled day.

The children really enjoyed their Pesach learning and particularly enjoyed making their clay seder plate to use at their seder tables.

The children enjoyed the Cycle Training sessions.

For Shavout, the children made a non-bake cheese cake and decorated it with their preference of sprinkles. Needless to say, they had a very dairy Shavuot!

The children enjoyed making carrot cake which tied in nicely with their topic of World War 2 and rationing. It also meant they had an English dessert to serve at the Queen's Jubilee tea.

The class enjoyed participating in the Matzah bake workshop, in which they were taught the process of baking Matzah.

The children worked really hard to rehearse and performed beautifully at the Barnet Dance festival. We are so proud of them.
