At the beginning of the year, the Nursery children decided to teach some games to the class. They have developed such independence and confidence that they can now play them independently. They have been amazing turn taking and remembering the rules.

The children in Nursery have enjoyed mark making. It has been great to see how their fine motor skills have developed with time.
This half term the children enjoyed their trip to Belmont Farm. They had the opportunity to pet some animals, feed them and learn some information about them.
In the first half of the Summer term Nursery's IPC topic was 'Houses and Homes.' One of their favourite stories was “The Three Little Pigs.” They enjoyed acting the story outside using the crates to support them.
The children enjoyed making patterns with the Numicon.
Our IPC topic in Spring 1 has been Food. The children have enjoyed role playing different foods in our restaurant.
In Autumn 2 the children enjoyed making shape pictures with lollypop sticks.
The children took part in several experiments during Science Day. This one was about colour transferring. The children were making predictions before anything happened “The colours will mix. I’m sure”
At Nursery they love exploring with the water. They have explored how things float and sink and the children have enjoy filling and emptying cups.
In Nursery the children love baking. They have baked cakes, biscuits and cookies and all of them were great!
They also loved planting the beautiful flowers in the garden, mixing the soil and watering them.
They have been really interested in mark making with different resources and creating interesting pictures.
In the second half of Spring term, Nursery have been focusing on the IPC topic “Let’s Pretend”. They have been dressing up and learning lots about Traditional Tales.
In Nursery the children have explored a range of materials that are magnetic and not magnetic.
To celebrate Chinese New Year the children used the chop sticks in the sand to mark make different Chinese numbers!
The children enjoyed their environmental walks around school. They listened to all the sounds they could hear and drew some lovely pictures.
In Ivrit we have learnt about Noah's Ark and Abraham and his family.
There is always something going on at Nursery. We have lots of new experiences like baking plantains during Black History Month.
The children have been really interested in measuring each other and objects around the classroom. Some of them use footprints to measure tables or chairs and some others preferred to have a go with measuring tapes.
Nursery have been working on their balance and upper body strength with a range of fun games.
The children enjoyed using the clipboards to draw pictures and write messages to their parents.
In Jewish Studies the children made crowns for the Purim story.
During Book Week the children enjoyed paired reading with Year 3!
For Road Safety Week the children liked role playing how to cross the road safely. They also went out on Daws Lane to cross the road.
During PE the children moved to the rhythm of the music using the scarves to support their actions.
The children have enjoyed running on a track, hoping and slithering.
