Bike to School Week 2017

To celebrate Bike to School Week the children enjoyed riding to school on their bike or scooter! They all participated in a 'Special' PE lesson where they got to ride their bikes or scooters and understood the safety aspects to stay safe whilst on their bikes or scooters.

In Nursery they talked about where they go on their scooters and draw and labelled pictures of themselves riding their scooters.

In Reception they have looked at fixing broken bikes and making sure they are save to ride.  They enjoyed cleaning bikes outside.

In Year 1 they have enjoyed writing about what they like about riding a bike or a scooter making sure they use full stops and capital letters.

In Year 2 they have written persuasive letters why it is good to ride bikes or scooters to and from school.

In Year 3 they read an information text on how to stay safe when riding a bike.  They enjoyed answering questions on the text.

In Year 4 they have watched a video and wrote six rules on how to stay safe when riding a bike.  They have created a bike timeline explaining how bikes have changed over time.

In Year 5 they have watched a video and wrote notes on how to stay safe when riding a bike.
