Volunteer's Tea 2016

Monday 5th December 2016 was International Volunteer Day, established by the United Nations in 1985 as an international observance day to celebrate the power and potential of volunteerism. To celebrate at Etz Chaim, we held our own Volunteer tea to say thank you to our wonderful volunteers.
We are extremely fortunate to have a large number of volunteers who make a huge contribution to our school community in a variety of ways. Our volunteers give up their time and help make our school a better place. Our school would literally not be the same without them and we are extremely thankful and appreciative of the time they give to make the children’s learning more effective and enjoyable.

Here are some of the different things that the staff say about our volunteers…
  • The volunteers are very warm with the children
  • They make a real difference to the children's learning
  • The children look forward to them coming in, they love the 5 minute one to one  time they get with them
  • The children are getting quality one to one time
  • They ensure that every child gets to have one to one time with different people throughout the week
  • It’s good for the children to engage with different people
  • Having our volunteers makes our school a community school
  • We love their enthusiasm
