Author Visit

The Year 3 and 4 children had a fabulous time carrying out a story writing workshop with author Rachel Delahaye.   Rachel explained the acronym S.T.O.R.Y.  She asked the children to draw mind maps and throw all kinds of ideas down on the paper and then try to bring them together to make a story.   It didn't matter how crazy their ideas were.  The children loved it and each group of between 4 and 7 children had the opportunity to share their group's work with everyone.  The children had a fantastic session and thoroughly enjoyed the day. 

Later on Key Stage 2 had a question and answer session and posed lots of varied questions to Rachel.   From where she got her ideas from and what was her favourite book was as a child to how much she earned as an author!
