Origami Workshop

To mark Chinese New Year, Lee, from Shanghai in China ran an origami workshop.
The  Nursery and Reception children really enjoyed the workshop. They made a dog by folding square paper into triangles and a little box by folding rectangles. The children learnt how to change shapes by folding paper.
Year 1 and 2 focussed on following instructions to create a paper cone (for chips) out of paper, as well as a tray to hold small things. The children honed in on their fine motor skills to carry out the activity.
Years 3 and 4 made a dinosaur. This encouraged a great sense of teamwork as some children supported others who found it challenging.
Year 5 and 6 made intricate birds and butterflies which could move!

All the children had a lot of fun!
