Etz Chaim Jewish Primary School

Mathathon

This year's sponsored Mathathon focused on Maths in the environment. The children searched the school environment for maths. They enjoyed spotting different shapes and numbers around the school and performing calculations.

We were delighted to hear high quality maths talk about how to work out : how many solar panels are on the school roof; how many windows there are; the number of horizontal planks that make up the fence along the edge of the playground; the perimeter of the large sandpit, the angles at which different parts of the play equipment meet; the number of squares in the scramble net and many more exciting maths facts!

We hope we have raised enough money to cover our subscription to Mathletics!
