Mitzvah Day 2018
On Thursday 15th and Friday 16th November 2018 we celebrated Mitzvah Day. This year we organised a litter collection.
All the children across the school, cleared up litter in our local area. In Foundation stage, they focused on litter that had blown into the school grounds. Key Stage 1 collected litter on the pavements outside the school, while Key Stage 2 picked up litter in the park. The children enjoyed collecting the litter and became adept at using the litter pickers.
This really was a worthwhile activity which had a positive impact on the school's surrounding environment and also promoted an awareness in our children of the importance of keeping our environment clean and tidy
