Etz Chaim Jewish Primary School

Year 6 Legacy Project July 2019

On Wednesday 24th July, we held a small ceremony with Year 6 to complete their Legacy Project.  Each child had thought of a word that encapsulates what Etz Chaim means to them. These words had been engraved onto personalised padlocks. During the ceremony, each child received their padlock, read out their ‘word’ and fixed it onto a special frame.  The inspiration for this project came from the Lovers’ Bridge in Paris, where people attach a padlock to the bridge to symbolise their unbreakable love and how it will last forever.

Our Year 6 children will always be part of the Etz Chaim family and their padlocks are fixed in place as a tribute to them and the journey they have been on. We will remember them always and they will always be part of Etz Chaim.
