The Year 6 Leavers' Assembly was a very special occasion. The Year 6 parents, some special guests and all of the children of Etz Chaim were there to see Year 6 graduate from Etz Chaim.
The assembly opened with an extended version of the school song "Let Us Grow", and an Israeli song Lakum Machar Baboker which was chosen because of it's theme of new beginnings. Year 6 also performed a poem they had helped to write - an Aleph Bet of Etz Chaim where they listed values and themes that they had learnt about. Then each child spoke about what Etz Chaim had given or taught them and handed the baton over to Year 5 with a piece of advice. We were lucky to have our special guests Rabbi Schochet and Lord Levy there to speak to the children and pass on their good wishes and advice for the future. Mrs Wolfin, one of the founding governors and Mr Stern, our new chair of governors both spoke to the children. The children also sang, " The Climb" and finished with "There Can Be Miracles".
It was a very momentous and emotional occasion.
