Yom Ha'atzmaut

Etz Chaim celebrated Yom Haatzmaut 5779 with much fun and excitement. Foundation Stage enjoyed a carousel of activities together and KS1 and KS2 were divided up in Circle groups.

Throughout the morning the children participated in a large range of activities and then tucked into a tasty picnic Israeli Lunch. In the afternoon the children sang songs including Happy Birthday to Israel and everyone was given a slice of special birthday cake!

A big thank you to our Israeli parents who came in during the afterburner and arranged to Skype children in Israel. Our children learnt a lot about the Israeli culture. As a grand finale of the day all the children went into classes to create a design of what Israel means to them. Their artwork will be stitched together to create a huge mosaic for the school.
