Etz Chaim Jewish Primary School

Succot at Etz Chaim

Succot is always a very special time at Etz Chaim and the children enjoyed making decorations for the school succah, which they then visited during Chol Hamoed. Every child had the opportunity to shake the lulav and etrog and they learnt about the symbolism of the four species. Children also visited others in the community during Succot, with Year 1 going to Mathila Marks Kennedy School, Year 4 visiting Clore Manor Care Home to sing for the residents and Years 2 - 6 visiting the Mill Hill shul succah. SEED ran an exciting quiz for Year 5 and 6 and their families and these classes also had a visit from someone who had made Aliyah. This linked to their topic of migration and the journeys of the Jewish people that we celebrate on Succot.
