Yom Hashoah

Six of our pupils from Year 5 and 6 were honoured to take part in the Yom HaShoah ceremony with children from three other schools. London Mayor Sadiq Khan, Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis, Israeli Ambassador Tzipi Hotovely and Lord Levy joined 30 Holocaust survivors at the Yom HaShoah commemoration at Jewish Care. The event was live streamed on Youtube.

The children sang Stephen Melzack’s song, “Never Forget” and joined Jonny Turgel and The Shabbaton Choir in singing a special version of Oseh Shalom.

The photographs show them talking to Susan Pollack MBE, a Holocaust Survivor born in 1930 in Hungary.
