Library Launch 2014
We were so proud of the wonderful class performances at the schools library launch. Year 2 opened the show with the song 'I Love Reading' using percussion instruments to accompany their singing. Then Reception retold the story 'Owl Babies’ by Martin Waddell and Year 3 told us all about the Dewey system. This was followed by Year 1 retelling the story ‘Dogger’ by Shirley Hughes and Nursery singing a song and poem based on Traditional Tales. The final performance was a whole school rendition of ‘Library Song’ by Tom Chapin.
The author Chris Wormell came back to our school to help celebrate and open the library. The children particularly enjoyed listening to Chris Wormell read one of his books to them in the new library. Later in the day, the children were all excited to scan out their newschool library book with our new cloud based system 'Junior Librarian.'
